Wildclementines.com is a website devoted to movie debating.  Every day we will have a different topic for you, our users, to debate on, by posting an argument for the side of the topic that you agree with.  However, you will have to be quick because only the first fifty posts will be read and eligible for the prize.  If the debate cap fills up quickly, there will be a second topic up for everyone to discuss.  Everyday we will post an aggregation of all the best movie news of the day.  At the end of each day there will be a vote for which topic will be up for debate the next day.  In addition WildClementines will have movie reviews on new releases as well as our favorite films from the past.  So, if you need your news, want to get opinion to help you decide what movie to rent or see, or just would like to voice your opinions, come to WildClementines.com and we will keep you updated and provide you with a forum for discussion.   

PRIZES

The first person to be on the winning side of five debates in a row will get a free movie of their choice delivered to their house.  They will also get the chance to write either a review of a movie or a general post for the site.  Whichever the winner chooses will be posted the day after we receive it on the front page of the site the next day; as well as saved to the archive of the site.  As soon as there is a winner, the debates win numbers will be reset. 

THE CLEMENTINE

Every week we will pick the best comment from all of the debates that week.  The person who wrote that comment will receive a “Clementine.”  They will have the opportunity to write a post of their choice featured on the front page of the site the day after we receive it.  That person will also be able to use that Clementine as an automatic win for any debate (For example if you have three debate wins in a row, you can use yourClementine for number four, whether you win that days debate or not).  You cannot however use that Clementine for your fifth win.

WILD CLEMENTINES DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Every year we will also have the Wild Clementines debate championships.  The 50 Clementine winners from our 50 weeks of debate (the last two weeks will be saved for the debate championships) will be entered into the playoffs.  It will be a bracket, “instant messaging” style debate which all users not involved in the playoffs will be able to watch.  Of course there will be great prizes for the winners.  

RULES AND INFO FOR POSTING ARGUMENTS

You must use the same username each time you post otherwise we will not be able to keep track of your wins.
 

Keep your posts clean and any abusive post will be deleted. 

The basis for our choices of the winning and losing sides of the debate is entirely subjective.  However, we are looking for certain criteria.  Your post must be insightful, original (within your post and pertaining to the posts before), and must cover around 250 words.
